The Master Association of Puerto Rico made its presence felt at the qualifying tournament held in Puerto Rico, where three countries competed for the three available spots to qualify for the Women's Basketball World Cup to be held in Berlin. Our players donated their time to make this tournament a success. Our players not only helped with the event logistics, but they rolled up their sleeves and worked as ball girls, facilitators for the teams in their practices and games, in the locker rooms, and even with the mops on the court. Additionally, they served as chaperones for all the participating teams. In this tournament, we had the participation of New Zealand, Spain, Senegal, Italy, the United States, and Puerto Rico, with the United States being the big winner of this tournament. But it was our Puerto Rico team that filled the "Coliseo" with pride by qualifying for the World Cup.
We thank the representatives of the association for being the best ambassadors of Puerto Rico. Our Athletes dedication and performance showed that Puerto Rico does it better!!!!!
